It's appalling that Squire, Howe and White decided not to wait for Jon to get better and go out on tour without him.... gotta pay the bills you know! Since that happened Wakeman had scarcely a word with those members and threw in digs at them whenever he got the chance although he did pay tribute to Alan White when he passed away.... deservedly so. Now the touring version of Yes is a moon cast shadow compared to the classic 5. Jon Anderson's voice is so unique that any version of Yes without him is not Yes.

Yes are the ultimate Futurist Prog Rock Group, in my opinion. They are an Institution attracting the best Musicians in the World. I love The Ice Bridge and To The Moment, inspiring works from From a Page to take us all into hopefully a better future.

Now we’ve lost Keith Emerson and Jon Lord, Rick seems to be our main man (with Tony Banks, Nick Rhodes and others I can’t recollect at the moment).

I admire both Rick’s huge contribution to Yes (God’s Paradisal musicians) and his brilliant solo career with Orchestras.

So intelligent, a great raconteur, very humorous and a modern keyboard genius. Wishing you a long and happy life, Rick.

There are a lot of creeps in rock music, Rick Wakeman is not one of them. A great talent with a great sense of humor.

at 16 minutes into the vid , he said , I couldn't see a yes band without Jon singing . the truest statement ever !!! nothing against the other guys , its just not Yes without Jon Anderson

Rick is a shining example to us all. And what a nice guy Dan seems to be..

Rick bought a Minimoog synthesizer at half price from actor Jack Wild, who thought that it was defective because it only played one note at a time. lol I can just imagine Rick taking a sharp intake of breath and saying " It looks broke but I will do YOU a favour etc" :) He was the first musician to suss out the Mellotron and those great Producers like Tony Visconti and Gus Dudgeon asked him how he got it to work but he kept quiet as they then HAD to employ him if they wanted that sound. I have learned that it was RICK who played those fabulous notes on Space Oddity....

Surprised he said "this lineup far & away is the best YES lineup he's ever been in". Really, Rick? Even better than the "classic" lineup of Anderson, Bruford (or White), Wakeman, Howe, and Squire in their prime? Having been to many YES jaw dropping concerts with the classic lineup and having attended 90125 concerts, and close attention to the various stages of YES over the years, and mostly seeing the rust (on Trevor Rabin in particular) of ARW, with all due respect this claim regarding ARW being the "best YES lineup" seems a stretch. I'm glad he'e having fun though.
